Rushing to clamber aboard this new smoke and steam belching iron horse, we depart toward a post-intelligence world.

Oscillating through spirals of time, we today experience parallels of embarking on that journey two hundred years ago.
A journey that left behind millennia of horse drawn, muscle powered societies and economies, to gallop headlong into a mechanised engine revolution.
No horse required.

With one foot in 1830 and another in 2023, acceleration toward an unknown destination continues. From thunderous roar of organic physical analogues, toward articulate non-linear digital entanglements of machines and code that watch, learn and serve.

Pretend Intelligence is TJ McIntosh, a cross-disciplinary artist with a background in technology design. He has written, directed and composed for film, exhibited Audio-Visual & VR based installations and static wall based art, performed original live music and released recordings through labels Vinyl Solution, Hang Man, TOPY, Project 112 and now Ryu Recordings among others.

His work has received awards in film, and digital technology applications. Previously in the UK, he is now based in the South Pacific/New Zealand.
